Campus Engagement
The campus engagement goal look to engage employees and students in the sustainability work at MCC, using the AASHE STARS credits as a guideline. The STARS credits are below, which takes into account a variety of engagement initiatives. To learn more about MCC’s current report, go to the STARS website.

Employee sustainability engagement
As part of the preparation for the Sustainability Master Plan, MCC surveyed employees and students about their support of sustainability topics and their knowledge of MCC's sustainability work in 2019. Approximately 350 employees and 350 students participated. Unfortunately, we did not have enough student responses to be statistically significant.
The survey did find that 88% of MCC employees believe it is important for MCC to take active steps to be more sustainable and 73% of employee found that sustainability concepts align with MCC's mission.
