Requesting An MCC Transcript

Official Transcripts

Official transcript requests can be made online through the National Student Clearinghouse and you may request an electronic or paper transcript. There is a minimal charge for each transcript and payment must be submitted at the time of the request. Before ordering online make sure you have:

  • Your MCC student ID or Social Security Number (SSN).
  • The recipient’s details (email or mailing address) and that you have verified the acceptable delivery method with them (electronic or mail).
  • Prepared attachments required by the recipient. Additional documents are submitted when the transcript request is made. They cannot be faxed, emailed, or sent in separately.

Official transcripts can be requested in the following modalities:

  • Electronic - Validated through a digital certified signature by Metropolitan Community College. Electronic transcripts are identical to paper ones, only delivered electronically. The recipient's email address is required to use this service. Recipients will receive an email with instructions on how to retrieve the transcript online. Requests can be submitted 24/7 and are processed within two days. Additional processing time may be required after the end of the quarter.
  • Paper - Paper transcripts are printed on security paper. The recipient's complete postal address is required. Paper transcripts are processed within 5-7 business days; allow additional processing time during high volume periods (end or start of term, graduation, etc.).

You can track your order or get technical assistance from the National Student Clearinghouse, by calling (703) 742-4200 or email transcripts@studentclearinghouse.org.

Other Transcript Options

  • Current students who require an unofficial transcript can print a copy through Self Service.
  • Former students who are requesting a copy of their unofficial transcript must complete a Release of Unofficial Transcript form. Wet signature is required.
  • In person requests for an unofficial transcript from either current or former students can be made at any Student Services location by presenting a valid photo ID. The Release of Unofficial Transcript form is not required for in-person requests.

Can a transcript order be placed over the phone?

All transcript requests require a student’s consent; therefore, requests by phone or email are not accepted.

Can you e-mail or fax my transcript?

Official transcripts cannot be faxed or e-mailed. Students can e-mail an unofficial transcript to the recipient.

I do not have a debit/credit card to place an official transcript order online.
