How Is Credit Earned?
College credits earned through a Career Academy are based on a student’s cumulative performance throughout the duration of the MCC course and will appear on a student’s MCC transcript. It's important to remember that the grades earned while taking a college credit course will count toward the student's college grade point average (GPA) and will be a permanent part of their postsecondary transcript. High school credit for Career Academy courses are not automatically earned. Students should check with their counselor about dual credit options.
MCC credits earned may transfer to other colleges or universities. To learn about transferability at local four-year colleges, view our Transfer Partners.
