The Coordinating Commission for Postsecondary Education is responsible for responding to formal complaints against public, independent non-profit, and most proprietary institutions of higher education that offer degrees in Nebraska.

Under the Federal Title IV cash management regulations, institutions are required to publicly disclose any contract that governs a Tier One or Tier Two Arrangement as well as information about the costs incurred by students who elect to use a financial account offered under one of those arrangements.

The Regulations included, among others, provisions related to how disbursement options and financial products can be marketed to students, the delivery of debit cards to students, the sharing of student information under certain arrangements, prohibitions on the incurrence of certain types of account fees to student account-holders and requirements related to ATM access for student account-holders.

Constitution Day and Citizenship Day Disclosures

All institutions receiving federal funding are required to provide educational programming pertaining to the United States Constitution on Sept. 17 of each year. All students are notified of campus activities celebrating Constitution Day.

MCC offers various financial aid programs to assist students.   • The Annual Security Report (ASR) provides information on campus safety policies, crime statistics, and security procedures to ensure compliance with the Clery Act and promote a safe environment.

  • The campus crime log is a publicly accessible record of reported criminal incidents on or near MCC campuses, providing details such as the nature, date, time, and location of each crime.
• DRUG-FREE Schools and Community Act
  • The Drug Free Schools and Communities Act Amendments of 1989 requires institutions who participate in federal student aid programs to provide information to its students, faculty and employees to prevent drug and alcohol abuse. Possible repercussions of violating state and institutional drug and alcohol policies are listed in Student Code of Conduct.

Metropolitan Community College does not require vaccinations for general admission. However, vaccinations may be required for admission to a specific class or program.
