CollegeNOW!

CollegeNow! is specifically designed for Nebraska high school students to jump-start their college education. Students enroll into sections taught by Metropolitan Community College faculty on campus or online. Begin the pursuit of an associate degree and/or transfer MCC college credit to other colleges and universities with CollegeNow!

College credits earned through CollegeNow! are based on a student’s cumulative performance throughout the duration of the MCC course and will appear on a student’s MCC transcript. It's important to remember that the grades earned while taking a college credit course will count toward the student's college grade point average (GPA) and will be a permanent part of their postsecondary transcript. High school credit for CollegeNow! courses are not automatically earned. Students should check with their counselor about dual credit options.

MCC credits earned may transfer to other colleges or universities. To learn about transferability at local four-year colleges, view our Transfer Partners.

  • Courses offered at Metropolitan Community College (MCC) have college-level content, subject matter, expectations and standards, and students will be held to those standards and graded accordingly.
  • It is the responsibility of the student to comply with the MCC Student Code of Conduct and all standards set forth in the course syllabus.
  • If a student under the age of 18 is enrolled in both a high school and a postsecondary institution, their parents still retain the right under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) at the high school, but postsecondary rights belong to the student. Students who wish to grant parental or third-party access to their educational records may do so through the Registrar's Office by submitting an Authorization to Release Student Information Form after course registration is complete.

Current Nebraska High School students, grades 9-12, are automatically eligible to take credit classes tuition free. Students in the ninth grade become eligible for the tuition waiver during the MCC Fall quarter. Students are responsible for tools, textbooks, and any other associated course fees.

Eligibility: Must be a current high school student, grades 9 – 12. Students in 9th grade become eligible in MCC’s Fall
