Learning outcomes and skills gained:
- Topics include all aspects related to blood collection, including comprehensive skills to perform venipunctures completely and safely.
- Classroom and lab work include terminology, anatomy and physiology, blood collection procedures, specimen hands-on practice, and training in skills and techniques to perform puncture methods.
- Upon completion, participants will meet the necessary requirements to take the NHA Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification exam.

EKG Technician
AMCA EKG Technician Certification (ETC)
- This course prepares students to take the AMCA EKG Technician Certification (ETC) national certification exam.
- Students will learn about the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, appropriate patient care, and how to properly conduct an electrocardiogram (ECG).
- The course will also provide students with knowledge as to how to diagnose different rhythms discovered through ECG tests.
- Additional topics that students will learn about is the use of pacemakers as well as ECG cardiogram artifacts and the 12-leag ECG and acute myocardial infarction.

Learning outcomes and skills gained:
- Students will learn to analyze and dissect medical terms using prefixes, word roots, combining forms, and suffixes in veterinary contexts.
- Define and apply veterinary medical terminology across body systems, including anatomy, physiology, diagnostics, and pathology.
- Identify and describe anatomical terms specific to various animal species, including terms related to sex, age, birthing, and general descriptions.
- Understand foundational aspects of veterinary practice, including ethics, legal considerations, safety protocols, and effective practice management.
- Program includes 100 hours of in classroom instruction, skills-based labs and activities, and National Workforce Career Association (NWCA) Veterinary Assistant Certification Exam is held at the conclusion of the course.

- The course meets the Nebraska Health and Human Services System training requirements for nursing assistant certification and employment in long-term care facilities.
- The course combines classroom lecture, laboratory application, and clinical experience for development of basic skills needed to care for the elderly
- Course content focuses on teaching nursing assistants to provide safe, effective, and caring services to the elderly or chronically ill patients of any age in a long-term care facility.

Medical Transcription Editor

Overview: Medical transcription professionals play a key role in providing accurate medical records. The industry is evolving to include two important and distinct roles: Medical transcriptionists who type (or transcribe) the dictations of doctor-patient interactions, creating the reports that are included in patients' medical records. Medical transcription editors who are specialized medical transcriptionists focused on correcting and editing the written reports generated by speech recognition software, which electronically transcribes dictations into text.
