You have served our Nation proudly. Now it is our privilege to serve you, by helping you meet your educational, developmental, and professional goals.

MCC truly values its service members, Veterans, and their families. Your unique experiences enrich the overall learning environment for all of our students.

Whether you plan to take a few classes, obtain a professional credential, or complete a two year program, please know we stand ready to assist you in meeting your goals.

At MCC, you will find an array of resources to aid in your transition to college life and to help ensure your academic and career success. These resources include dedicated spaces and services designed specifically for you, including professional advising, counseling, and support services, all provided by individuals who care and have a vested interest in your success.

The MCC Military and Veterans Services office provides active-duty, reserve, and guard service members, veterans, spouses, and qualified dependent students the guidance, assistance, and support required to succeed in their educational and career goals.

  • Affordability - get the most from your education benefits with our low tuition rates.
  • Flexibility - take classes when and where you want with day, night, weekend and online classes, MCC adapts to your needs.
  • Transferability - MCC is a fully accredited community college. Accredited classes transfer to and from MCC and many state and regional institutions.
  • Get credit for your military service - MCC accepts American Council on Education credit recommendations for military experience.
  • Take classes that matter - with programs ranging from diesel technology and nursing to criminal justice and IT— MCC has classes to fit your career choice.

MCC proudly complies with the Veterans Affairs Principles of Excellence. Our services include:

  • Providing students using VA benefits with the total cost of your educational program in writing, including:
    • Costs as covered by benefits
    • Financial aid student qualifies for when a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is submitted
    • Expected student-loan debt after graduation with completed FAFSA and loan request
    • A College Financing Plan (CFP) when a FAFSA is completed
    • An estimated CFP for single independent student status when a FAFSA is not completed
  • An educational plan with a timeline showing how to fulfill everything required for graduation
  • A point of contact who will provide ongoing academic and financial advising (including access to disability support services)
  • Allowing leave for both long and short periods of time due to service obligations (service students must fulfill) for active-duty service members and Reservists
  • Verifying new programs are accredited and VA approved before enrollment
  • Ensuring College refund policies follow Title IV rules guiding federal student financial aid programs
  • Maintaining policies that prohibit automatic renewal of a covered individual in a course and/or programs
